How do you eat it?

This is a question I get asked a lot! And since especially my butters are unique in consistency, here’s some ideas for ya!

Caramels (always creamy)

Consistency

Choc.Apothecary’s Caramels must be stored in the refrigerator and keep for up to 2 months. They do travel well for a few days.

  • Melts.

  • Creamy when cold.

  • Drizzly when warm.

  • Do NOT microwave. Use a warm pan or water-bath to melt.

Eat it like

I put it in my coffee daily, because this way I don’t forget to take my medicine and it makes my coffee so delicious. If you don’t drink coffee or would like to use them many ways try these ideas:

  • Just like in coffee, it is delicious in tea & smoothies.

  • Try on apples, vanilla ice cream.

  • Sourdough bread, use it like honey.

  • Treat yourself by the spoon full.

Butters (act like chocolate)

Consistency

Choc.Apothecary’s Butters should be stored in the refrigerator and keep for up to 2 months.
If you choose to keep them on the counter they must be consumed within 3-5 days.

  • Melts. Acts like chocolate:

  • Hard when cold.

  • Soft once out of the refrigerator for several hours.

  • Creamy when warm.

  • Do NOT microwave. Use a warm pan or water-bath to melt.

Eat like

Butters are seed oil free, and therefore act like chocolate. Almost all other chocolate spreads do contain palm oil or seed oils.

I don’t want seed oils in my diet because they can cause inflammation in the body.

Want it quick?

  • Just get it with the spoon and let it melt in your mouth.

  • Get a spoon and high speed blend it in your coffee, smoothie.

Creative in the kitchen?

  • Melt, pour on cookie sheet, add favorite toppings, chocolate, etc. >> refrigerate, slice and enjoy grab and go unbaked brownies.
